PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The goal of the project is to explore and use advanced fabrication techniques to produce a cantilevered wall lamp that can span 2m off the wall. While the object itself is called a lamp, the primary focus of this project was not on its ability to perform as a lamp, but on its exploration of technique and research of a material's ability to create a unique object that could be used as a lamp.
This cantilevered lamp is comprisedĀ of 3 pieces of laminated strips. There are two identical pieces, and placed in between them, is the third piece. All three strips are formed with the use of two molds, which are then flipped or mirrored to produce shape for the final lamp design to ensure replicability.

The Following is a culmination of research and process from the development and fabrication of the 'lamp' project.
